ABOUT ME
Chris Leahy
One of the most important things I have learned during my training experience is that strength training is not about how heavy you lift. Strength training is more about movement, core strength, and stability. With dedication and consistency, given the right programming, anyone can get stronger and feel better.
I have over 10 years of full-time training experience and have trained clients at all fitness levels, including athletes, desk jockeys, and everyday people.
My focus is to incorporate functional training, making sure that each workout helps my clients improve physical performance outside the gym. I'm a firm believer in quality workouts by using correct form and proper technique to prevent injury. I emphasize on total body athletic movements by relying less on machines and more on natural motions.
I have recently joined Metfit in Natick, Mass. I'm excited about the opportunity to work in a fun and energized environment with state-of-the-art equipment. Prior to coming to Metfit, I was a full-time trainer at Gold's Gym in the same area.
Certifications:
NSCA, NASM, and ISSA.

While there are thousands of exercises out there, the foundation of a high quality workout is compound movements, which involve multiple joints and muscles. The followings are a few staple training movements that demonstrate high quality workouts.

I hired Chris about 5 years ago and it was one of the best investments I’ve made for myself. Chris taught me to be open minded when it comes to fitness and to explore different ways of getting in shape. I have a ‘bodybuilding’ background but Chris introduced me to Olympic style training. I love it!! His persistence keeps me focused every week. He makes his workouts fun but expects nothing less than sweat and hard work from his clients.
